Skyway Golf Course – Clubhouse view

Don’t judge a book by its cover. First impressions can be very deceiving. Remember these words as you turn onto Duncan Avenue and start to dodge all the semi’s delivering their goods to the warehouses along this strip. I was starting to wonder if Siri was playing a joke on us because there was no way there was a beautiful course down this street. So when Siri said, “you have arrived, the destination is on the left”, Lincoln Park West and the Pulaski Skyway loomed before us. The course was

Immergrun Golf Club #6

Hole #6 – Number 1 handicap hole

The translation of Immergrün must be not a flat/level lie on the entire course. When I asked the St. Francis University Women’s Golf Coach, if there was anything special we needed to know about the course she said, “not a flat lie anywhere to be found”. This is sooooo true! Our day almost ended before it began.  Read more →

Westgate River Ranch

Dude Ranch in the middle of Florida

Dude Ranch in the middle of Florida? Being from Colorado, this I need to see. It’s just northwest of Yeehaw Junction. You learn something new everyday. Read more →

We traveled over 2,000 miles to play Golfweek’s #15 ranked 9-hole hole golf course from it’s 2011 ranking. Our anticipation grew as we drove through a well-appointed neighborhood that looked like it would support an outstanding course. Panic set in Read more →

Waynesboro GC #9

Hole #9 – Par 4, 322 yards. Nice finishing hole with a view of the surrounding area.

Waynesboro Municipal Golf Course is located on the Pennsylvania/Maryland border in the shadows of two historic Civil War battlefields. As I worked my way around the course, I thought I heard the sounds of cannon fire from the battles at Gettysburg and Antietam. I finally realized those explosions were coming from Read more →
