Immergrun Golf Club #6

Hole #6 – Number 1 handicap hole

The translation of Immergrün must be not a flat/level lie on the entire course. When I asked the St. Francis University Women’s Golf Coach, if there was anything special we needed to know about the course she said, “not a flat lie anywhere to be found”. This is sooooo true! Our day almost ended before it began.  Read more →

Westgate River Ranch

Dude Ranch in the middle of Florida

Dude Ranch in the middle of Florida? Being from Colorado, this I need to see. It’s just northwest of Yeehaw Junction. Hole #9 – Par 4, 322 yards. Nice finishing hole with a view of the surrounding area.

Waynesboro Municipal Golf Course is located on the Pennsylvania/Maryland border in the shadows of two historic Civil War battlefields. As I worked my way around the course, I thought I heard the sounds of cannon fire from the battles at Gettysburg and Antietam. I finally realized those explosions were coming from Read more →

Sand Barrens GC

Even the entrance to Sand Barrens Golf Club is engulfed in sand.

Bar•ren n : a tract of barren land (adj. lacking interest or charm). ♦ desert, desolation, wasteland. Sand Barrens Golf Club may be a desert but it is surely not a wasteland lacking in interest.
