Chimney Rock GC #6

Hole #6, Par 4 – 336 yards from white tees.

Pride; Professional; Passion; and Perfection. These words describe what we encountered at Chimney Rock Golf Club. Ed and I quickly motored our way to the second hole to bypass the crowd at Hole #1. We did come back to finish our round at this straight and easy par four opening hole.  Read more →

Crestview Golf Club

Hole #5 – Risk/Reward Par 4

Driving south down the 101, our GPS directed us through a Post Office parking lot. It must have been the most direct route because we did find Crestview Golf Club with no issue. This course was plowed under and closed for the 2008 season, redesigned by Dan Hixson, and reopened in 2009. Read more →

So down the road we traveled to Waverly Park and a more accommodating track – Bobby Nichols Golf Course.  Read more →

The Course at Sewanee #2

Hole #2 – Par 5, 548 yards (white tees) – These bunkers are awesome (as long as you avoid them)!

The next time someone tells me that a 9-hole golf course is not a “real” course, I will politely refer them to The Course at Sewanee. This 100-year-old beauty received an overhaul during 2011-12 by
